A Birthday Treat to Wookey Hole Caves from Ryan!
I got to mix up helmets and handbags...
And we practised getting ready for Japan photo poses!
This used to be a waterfall many hundreds of years ago, and is now a hidden wall within a series of inland caves
Where they also make cave-aged cheese - we tied some, it's got a super strong cheddar taste!
Somehow there are also spooky cave plants
Cave divers use these pools to explore the 25 other underwater caves - dangerous stuff! Especially the pincer, where sand is so tight to have to drag yourself through it!
Red iron ore, grey lead and plenty of minerals in these caves which range from 70 ft high and dry, as well as containing pools 30 ft deep.
