A big trip into Tokyo - Harajuku and Shibuya!
We had a bit of a trek from Shinjuku station to Harajuku. A busy/interesting area - strangely plenty of buildings covered in ivy and plants.
We took a route through the stunning Yoyogi park. An amazing serene forest within the midst of the city.
It also houses Meiji Shrine, full of tourists, and a stunning wedding going on in and amongst everyone.
The exit of Yoyogi park took us to Harajuku, an epicentre for teenage fashion well known for crazy outfits, maid cafes and a diverse range of the unorthadox!
And it was only a 10 minute walk to Takeshita Street, the focal points for oddities.
First we cam across the most amazing pancakes. I went for custard, and Ryan got a whole choclatate brownie and cream ensemble
And then we found the most interesting boutiques in the busiest tiny street ever...
Not to mention this person taking their pet duck for a walk.
After we escaped the craziness, we found a whole new kind.
Welcome to wonderland - a beautiful store!
There were so many kinds of restaurants all completely decked out in their themes
This blog may not take many more photos - Second part upcoming!
