Getting our exploring on!

So first day - you would think its time to rock it in Rome!

Ha

We got up quite late, unpacked, and started the day off right with an attempt at making a dent in the fruit pile.

Then we walked to find the sport center (FYI this is a tennis courts. Walked over 3 miles to try and find a shop (no real joy yet but lovely countryside!)

An ended it even better in our new local. the owner, Tony, chatted to us all evening and we felt so welcome.

We had no idea really what was coming, except it included 'Bambi' and buffalo mozzarella.

Ryan was practicing Italian, and Tony was practicing English, and I was just doing the guess work in-between!

The food was actually very good, made better that we had a discount, and a map of what to do in Rome the next day from our new friend. The lemon cream (like a custard version of lemon cello) was so good, definitely something to try making at home one day!

So tomorrow - Bella Roma!
