Birthdays while away are a tricky affair. It is just us, so super celebrations and all-out-ness are a requirement, especially when only 50% of cards make it.
So after a patisserie breakfast (they do amazing orange juice of all things!) presents of course and sent him off for a massage, I got the party started!
Champers, cake and singing and hundreds of funny notes everywhere- what more could you need?
In a word?
Train roulette.
Four cards laid out with various places to go to. The challenge is in that place, you must take 27 photos of the birthday boy for his birthday photo-montage!.
Ryan managed to pick the smallest, quietest town - Ha!
Let the photo montage begin!
The third is 'Train Contemplation' on why we were not moving...
Followed by a rush to a train on another platform as the conductor told us the train had moved!
As a note - NEVER play yellow card 123 when you see a yellow mini with Ryan.
Real Rules - Yellow Mini's count.
Ryan's Rules - ANYTHING YELLOW
Inconveniently, a cycle hire place of yellow bikes lived directly opposite the yellow mini
It was pretty, typically Italian, and very quiet.
We took our chance to join life when we saw it!
By the way he is totally pointing to the sign (below) for a joke about finding Anne Frank's house.
We were in a kind of spontaneous mood, and saw a tower.
This is a very zoomed in shot.
And decided to go and find it!
Lots of stairs, twists and turns later - we did!
Then we found fountains! Uh oh!
Yes, I got water thrown at me - no one saw that coming!
We have bee singing adverts for Calzedonia for AGES - just a women in a bikini, I was starting to think it was a beach destination, but we found it!
So we headed back to Treviso and there was a torrential storm!
As in lightning, thunder, and sheets of rain, so we found a table for a few card games to wait it out.
It stopped quite soon, maybe an hour later, and pizza it is in our fave piazza!
But it wasn't just pizza. Ryan wanted Pasta THEN Pizza. Which meant I couldn't even attempt my pizza :(
Well I did attempt it!
They gave us the best kinda pizza bag ever - bringing this one home!
A quick hi to Giuseppe before we went home!
Love it :D
